Audited annually by a 3rd party, Eassons Transportation Group has successfully implemented the Trucking Food Safety Program and has an approved Food Safety Preventive Controls Plan (PCP) in place.
Recognized in both Canada and United States as an approved Preventive Controls Plan HACCP based food safety program for transportation and storage (warehouse), Eassons has also met all the minimum training requirements for the Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food Regulation requirements.
The PCP certificate of compliance also includes certification of:
- Preventive Controls Plan Compliance.
- HACCP Requirements and Compliance.
- FSEP Requirements and Compliance.
- HARPC Compliance.
- Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food Regulations.
Eassons Transportation Group has successfully implemented the following modules and are covered by the PCP compliance.
Prerequisite Programs: These are specified requirements by CFIA that must be addressed by all trucking companies that require certification. They include; (1) Program Management, (2) Sanitation and Pest Control, (3) Transportation, (4) Equipment, (5) Recall and Traceability, (6) Personnel and (7) Recordkeeping. The Prerequisites address operational criteria that must be controlled prior to implementing the Preventive Controls.
Refrigerated/Frozen/Mixed Load: This Module addresses the requirements for transporting loads of refrigerated products, frozen products, and mixed loads of frozen and refrigerated products on the same conveyance (Multi-Temp Loads).
Terminals: This Module addresses the requirements for premises used in “cross-docking” operations and LTL operations.
